Seminar Title: Phosphate Removal from Aqueous Solutions Using the Adsorption Method

Seminar Date and Time: April 6, 2017, 12:00

Seminar Abstract: Today, the causes of environmental pollution resulting from the disruption of ecological balance and the methods for addressing these issues are becoming increasingly important from both social and economic perspectives. One of the most significant types of pollution caused by phosphate in water is eutrophication, which refers to excessive nutrient enrichment. Phosphate present in wastewater can be removed using chemical, biological, and physical methods. Among these methods, adsorption—which is simple to implement, low-cost, and effective even at very low concentrations—is the most widely preferred method.
