Chemical Engineering is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that deals with the design, development and operation of industrial processes that transform raw materials into valuable products. Chemical Engineers design and operate industrial production processes by combining the fundamental principles of chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics and economics with basic engineering principles.

Chemical engineers work in the petrochemical, textile, polymer, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, cosmetics, detergent, and energy sectors, as well as in the production of special chemicals, the development of catalysts, electronic materials, the defense industry, space research, the aircraft and aviation industry, and environmental technologies.

What are the internship regulations of the Chemical Engineering Department?
There are two internship requirements in the Chemical Engineering Department: Laboratory Internship and Business Internship. Students can complete their Laboratory Internships after completing their fourth semester in the department, and their Business Internships after completing their sixth semester during the academic holiday period. The internship period is determined as twenty working days for both internships. What are the graduation requirements?
Graduation requirements for the Chemical Engineering Department are a minimum of 2.00 Weighted Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and successful completion of Laboratory and Business Internships.
