With the decision of the YTU Senate dated 24.04.2024 and numbered 2024/05-10, it was decided to switch to the “YTU Bologna 2024 Education Plan” as of the Fall Semester of 2024-2025 Academic Year, and in accordance with the related senate decision, the adaptation processes of our students have been completed as of 19.07.2024. It is necessary that you check your transcripts by taking the following points into consideration.
1. All courses have been transferred to the new plan. However, after the adaptation, excessive and unsuccessful Vocational Elective Courses (MES) were excluded from the curriculum.
2. KMM4601 Chemical Engineering Lab 2 and KMM4602 Chemical Engineering Lab 3 courses were both adapted into KMM4612 Chemical Engineering Lab 2 course, the laboratory course with a low grade was not included in the calculation of the average grade, or the unsuccessful laboratory course was excluded from the curriculum.
3. Students are given exemption from the University Vocational Elective course (UMS-4G), provided that they have taken both KMM4601 Chemical Engineering Lab 2 and KMM4602 Chemical Engineering Lab 3 courses and have passed at least one of the courses and have not failed the other with an F0 grade. In addition, students who have not taken laboratory courses but have additional and successful Vocational Elective Courses (MES) have been granted exemption from the University Vocational Elective (UMS-4G) course.
4. The adaptation processes of students in the %30 English Chemical Engineering program has been carried out in a way that their completed English credits remain unchanged.
After checking your transcripts, you must either confirm that you accept the adaptation processes done or submit your objection if you have detected a problem that may cause you grievance to the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering by the end of working hours on 09.08.2024 at the latest.
